About the Role

Suwon Yeongtong (9 AM-6 PM) + 2.7–2.8 million + full benefits for September 1st, 2025
Working hours: 9 AM-6:00 (M/W/F), 9 AM–6:40 (T/Th),
Pay: 2.7M–2.8M base pay, and based on employee performance after three months, the employee may get an increase of 100,000 won. Experienced teachers can get up to 2.8M
Age group: 5 years old to 7 years old and 1st-grade elementary up to grade 6
Start: One to two teachers for a September 1st, 2025 start (training the last week of Aug)
Benefits: Standard
· Monthly Pay: 2.6M - 2.8M base pay, and based on employee performance after three months, the employee may get an increase of 100,000 won.
· Single-furnished housing
· Round-trip airfare
· 11 paid vacation days a year in addition to national holidays set by our school
· Severance bonus upon the completion of the 1-year contract
· Medical Insurance: 50% of the national insurance premium paid for by our school
· Monthly contribution to the National Pension Fund
Other: The female director is fluent in English and has been a director for 20+ years, so she is culturally aware and communicates well with his staff and teachers. It is a great place to work and only 20 minutes from Chamsil. The VD is also fluent in English and a good mentor to teachers.

✅ Basic Eligibility Requirements for the E-2 Visa (South Korea)

🎓 Bachelor’s Degree (or Higher)

You must hold at least a BA or BS degree from an accredited university in your home country or in a country where English is the official language.

🔍 Clean Criminal Record

You must provide a national-level criminal background check (CBC/CRC) that is:

·         Apostilled

·         Less than 6 months old at the time of visa application

🩺 Health & Drug Check

·         A medical exam is required after arrival in Korea. It includes:

o    General health screening

o    Drug test

o    HIV test

·         Some schools also ask for a self-assessed health statement before issuing a contract.

📜 TEFL / TESOL Certification (Optional but Preferred)

·         Not required by Korean Immigration for the E-2 visa itself.

·         Strongly preferred by employers, especially:

o    120+ hour courses

o    Courses with a teaching practicum

💡 Note: Many schools require a 120-hour TEFL/TESOL certificate even though it's not a legal visa requirement.
